We woke up at 6am, had our breakfast and started our hiking!

武当山
In the morning around 7+ am, the weather is freezing cold. So we had all our windbreakers on

Starting point which is near our Hotel

We started off in a big group

Up up up we go~ As we go, we started to get warmer so we took off our windbreakers.

Photobucket
Slowly we dispersed, as everyone started to feel something on their calves! Some rested, slowed down, some Chiong all the way up
Theres about 6500 steps up to the peak @.@

Photobucket
Finally we saw the peak! can u see the small triangle on top of the mountain?

Photobucket
Climbed and climbed.. good training for our leg muscles

Photobucket
Thats Daniel and Shun Qing.
Look at the highest point in this picture. Thats our destination for today after 2 hours of hiking!
We had to wait for everyone to reach before we go up to the peak.

27
We sweated alot. Thats the print stamped by our jerseys

27
Our resting point is also the point where we meet those who came up by cable cars.
Some staff over there were shocked that we climbed up instead of taking the cable cars. I guess most people would not have the strength to climb all the way up.

27
When everyone arrived, we leave for the Summit

The view from the top makes my leg goes jelly~

After which we went down the mountain by cable cars..

Two person to one. Me and Shun Qing

27
27
We reached a point where by the cable car starts going downwards and not forward.

27
The cable car here wont slow down for you to alight so they will grab your arm and pull you out. HAHA

27
Look at that! The two lines down the mountain is the cable cars

27
27
27
All tired from the hiking...

27
Conquerors of 武当山 all by foot

27
Wow... Since the 1st day we are here, we've been seeing all these signs with weird wordings.

27
Our Lunch... and we set off for a 7 hours journey back to school.
Reflection:
This is an good experience- climbing up the 武当mountain. So feel like giving up halfway as it is really tiring, my calves are aching. However all of us persevered and encouraged one another. If we didnt came as a group i guess i would have given up halfway or take half a day to climb up. This is a challenge for all of us, in the future there will sure be more to overcome. Life is never meant to be easy.
Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
